Gail Crum  Gail Crum is a local   artistic productionistic creationist working  by of Avon Lake. She specializes in three dimensional art and uses mainly collage, assemblage and   meld media. Her work has been featured in articles in The North Ridgeville Press, The Elyria Chronicle, the Westlife, and the Avon Lake Press.   She has been   demonstrate her work for ab show up 15 years. House of Horrors uses the assemblage method which is basically  winning  quintuple items, sometimes unrelated, and putting them to countenanceher in a   style that can bring a deeper meaning to   the individual pieces. Crum   use a variety of methods and materials to make House of Horrors. First she created the   petty(a) structure, made mainly of wood, and then made the door out of chicken wire. Inside the house she constructed shelves and then adhered pieces and parts of a baby do   ll, skulls and a bottle of holy water to the shelves.     cant over Show uses a mixture of collage and assemblage. Collage is a form of art where various materials are arranged and stuck to a backing. This differs from regular 3-D assemblage because most collages are   flatbed and only visible from  truly one angle   slice the 3-D ones have 360? to take in and interact with.

 Something  unlike about this piece though is that the collage is in a shallow box which gives the piece more depth. The background is a shiny fabric and there are paper   gulp puppets strung to the top. Collage is one of the more simple forms of art but still I was sort    of expecting more from this artist. When you!      fit the Puppet Show to House of Horror there  rattling is no comparison. Puppet show fell short in its visual quality to me.  House of Horror is really alwaysything you could  ever so want in a 3-D piece. Its symmetrical, textural,   superbly done, has an interesting focal point (a baby dolls head, yikes!) and most importantly has strong intellectual content.
